a couple of questions for ya
whats it like noise wise etc without the bonnet sound proofing on and have you sealed the black plastic surround?
do you get any leaks onto the plugs etc with no engine cover on
i run mine without the cover also and my sound proofing is all white n mouldy looking,not nice when you try n keep it in mint condition

Start up..... sounds like a diesel haha its a little louder but not much.
Driving.... all i hear is the Revo intake sucking in gallons of air.
yes when i removed the engine cover i noticed alot of water on the coil pack, so put bag over the coils closed the bonnet and poured water along the strip i noticed it was coming out of the 3 middle holes so all i did was put a little clear silicone over the holes which sorted the problem.

I had the cash to buy this car as well when it was on eBay.... You got there before me obviously lol.
I've more or less got similar mods to yours and will be getting my stage 2+ map done at the same time lol. Oh and I'm gonna order one of those coolers off eBay next month or so.
I got my Autotech fuel pump internals today by the way.... Got them at a good price as well
Did they give you the R-t.e.c.h stickers for free?

yea the water comes out of the remaining holes but doesnt go anywhere near the coils.

yea i got a good deal on it tbh but i found 2-3 things wrong with it when i went to view it like all 4 tires were bald, big scratch in the front bumper that he tried hide with a sticker and a broken n205 valve.
yea them coolers are a bargain, there just the airtech cooler and THS cooler at half the price.
im thinking what you said to me the other day about a hard rev limiter......wish i had that mapped in now.
samual bryant has one of the cheap chinese coolers fitted, works a treat think you were talking to him the other day on facebook (leon owners club) if you wanted to ask him about it.

Right after waiting for over 2 months for the cheapo chinese intercooler come in stock i got told it was going to be another 30 days as there had been problems with stock or somthing like that. I was a bit gutted to be honest because i really wanted to find out what they were like.
so after looking on the classifieds on various forums this little beauty popped up, a good as brand new S3 intercooler from toosmiles.
I thought sod it im having that and went go pick it up had a cracking conversation with toosmiles (your car is a work of art mate) so killed 2 birds with 1 stone and all that and took the family to sunny rhyl while i was there.
I fitted it today, was quite straight forward tbh as i removed my aircon previously. i just had to buy x4 m6x16mm bolts and x2 50-70mm jubilee clips and i was good to go, took me about 3 hrs taking my time from start to finish and got sunburnt in the process.......note to self don't work on car topless

yea went for a quick blast, seems to hold boost for alot longer, i should no a little bit more tomorrow as going for a proper drive around wales.

i was really looking forward to fitting the chinese intercooler but theres no way im waiting that long.
you can tell the difference already with it fitted, pulls stronger, lasts longer no flat spots so happy now when i drive it i cant stop smiling.

was debating weather to spray it black or red tbh.
you welcome drive down mate and i will take it off for nothing, always willing help a fellow member out.
yea you use the oem pipes just peel the metal sleeve off one end and cut about 2cm off and you need different bolts m6x16mm.
yes i did nut sack,
feels alot better, pulls alot harder, boost lasts alot longer through the rev range. love it.
