Hi, I'm a happy owner of a Cupra Leon 1.4 e-HYBRID, I noticed that while driving sometime the fuel engine starts and the electric motor becomes unavailable for the next 3-5 minutes. An this even if there is still more then enough capacity in the battery. I asked my dealer you checked the error code during the first yearly service who didn't find anything. So my question is, am I the only one and should I continue to complain to my dealer, or is this some kind of mechanism that is intended so the the engine does not start for "nothing" and thus disable temporary the electric motor.

Thanks in advance for any hint.

I think its because it needs everything to get to an operating temperature, if you set a time to leave it never does this.

Do you get a warning that says "the engine must run for longer" on the dash?
No, nothing on the dash
