The CUPRA Raval marks the beginning of a new era for the brand. With striking design, electrifying performance and unconventional features, the CUPRA Raval reinvents the possibilities of EVs for a new generation of drivers.

Based on Volkswagen’s MEB+ platform and featuring front-wheel drive, the CUPRA Raval offers a dynamic and engaging experience focused on the driver. At just 4 metres long, it’s compact, yet — thanks to its road handling, generous interior space and practical, spacious boot — it’s engineered not only for city life, but for much more, including road trips and longer journeys.

Another interesting review here: https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/cupra/raval and https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-review/cupra/raval with the Autocar one being much more detailed.

Looking forward to this car as is currently top of my list to replace my current Ibiza between next Sept and Jan 27. Both dealers I have dealt with recently say the Raval will steal allot of Ibiza sales.
I think it will definitely steal sales as not having a Biza Cupra in the SEAT line up, left a gap in the range which will be filled by the Raval.

The Ibiza was and still cry's out for a Polo GTi challenger, such a sorted chassis that would make great use of a EA888 lump... Raval will now fill that I suppose; but an electric hot hatch is still not the same as a petrol hot hatch.

Sadly, I don’t think a 2.0 litre EA888 engine in the Ibiza will ever happen…..

Cupra is considered as VAG’s volume performance / sports-oriented brand (even though it has evolved to include non-performance variants), and with EV’s seen as the way forward, IMHO the sole B segment hot hatch option for Seat and Cupra customers will be limited to the EV Cupra-badged Raval. Agree, it won’t be the same as a petrol hot hatch; maybe it’ll be considered better by some prospective customers - the reviews of the pre-production car are very positive.

Anyone wanting a 2.0 litre EA888 engined B segment VAG hot hatch, will need to defect to VW and get a Polo GTI.
