Hello,
anyone knows if I can put winter tyres on a Leon MK2 Cupra smaller then the 18"? I was planning to buy something complete with steel tyres and avoiding removing my summer pirelli off the alloys.

obviously it will be cheaper then buying 18" as well!

You could on the back, not on the front. 17's would be too small to go round the front brakes.

I stand corrected then! Must be a hair width of a gap though

Thanks guys for your input! In the forum I got the impression that Vredestein are very good tyres I checked online and there is'nt much difference between the 17" and 18" I mean money wise.

Do you think I should go for 18" 225/40 R18 92W XL Vredestein Wintrac xtreme they are 136.50 each from mytytres.co.uk. Or some 17" some say the smaller cut better through the snow??!

The narrower the tyre, the better in the snow. 225 is the standard width on 18's. Not sure about 17's
