Has anyone with the above car got a dog guard?

I ask because I have spoken to both Seat parts and Travall (and the Seat ones are made by Travall!)
and both say that their Leon ST guard does not fit the Cupra ST 4drive model.

I'm at a loss because I can't easily see why???

Really? I’ve had the seats and boot liner out to fit sound deadening and can’t say I’ve notice a difference between the 280 and 4 drive.

I can't understand it either, but it may be the difference between a cooking ST and Cupra in that the rear seat backrest might be different on the Cupra, that's where the dog guard fits.

Also, would you say the boot floor area is different 4drive to fwd?

The dog guard was supposed to fit the 280, and not noticed a difference between the 2.

Interested in this as I have a 4drive coming and will need a dog guard too.

My dad has a standard Leon ST and has a universal one from Halfords, which seems like a good fit.

Not sure why the SEAT part wouldn't fit, unless the seat back shape is different in the Cupra, but there is one issue with it that I do know about; once fitted, it is not possible to use the roller blind load cover.
SWMBO had this problem with her FR . We took it up with the dealer (who was perplexed) and SEAT CS who logged the issue with the factory and we never heard anything else. I eventually effected a local modification by hacking a lump off the rear of the cover.

I'm going to the Seat parts department to quiz them face to face about the dog guard.

Already ordered an 18" spare wheel kit over the phone, hope that fits under the boot floor OK.

Well,my local Seat parts dept is of the opinion that no dog guard is available for the current Leon ST Cupra models, the reason being some structural change for the 4 drive.

I have emailed Travall, who make the guards for Seat and also sell direct to ask if they are thinking of making
one, pointing out that these cars started in 2017 and will be made in 20018 and 2019.
Since they ask in their normal business for the loan of cars for photos and measurements I have offered my car if they want it!

I'll post on here if this gets anywhere.

Not doubting what they say, but it still seems strange.
Incidentally, there is a guard specifically for the Leon Xperience. I wonder.......

I don't know for certain exactly why 3 sources now tell me there is no guard to fit a 2018 Cupra 300 ST 4drive.
I take your point that the Xperience models are 4drive,so the 4drive aspect of the Cupra might not be the reason the earlier guard does not fit.....mystery!

Any pictures of the dog guard and I’ll see if I can see what exactly might prevent it

There is nothing there I can see that means it wouldn’t fit mine.
Well I'm tempted to just get one because if there is any difference it must be small and I could modify it if necessary.

I don't like the universal ones, supposed to fit everything but don't really fit anything very well.

I was wondering if it’s because Cupra’s don’t come with the cargo net (or weren’t an option with the 280 and the carbon doesn’t come with one as it’s sparse on spec anyway)

Well having had a closer look at the photos in the brochure...

...it doesn’t use any hooks in the ceiling...

Hmmm, strange.
On SWMBO's FR ST, the dealer fitted the guard prior to delivery.
As shown in the pics, it has 2 lower brackets that go through the side trim ( presumably to pick up on some sort of pre-existing fitting ), but also
it has two upper fixings which fit into recesses fitted to the headliner.
I assume the upper recesses were also fitted by the dealer as there were some signs of the headliner and upper rear side window trims having been removed.
