So as some of you will know I've been on here for a few years, so not new to the Seat scene, theres a build thread on here somewhere of my Hybrid Mk3 Ibiza Cupra...however times have changed...
It'd been on my mind for a while to sell the Ibiza, I'td been a great project and I'd taken it from a pretty sorry for itself wee car to a proper beast with what in my opinion was quite a nice spec, so anyway I put it up for sale and after a few time wasters and dreamers, a gentleman travelled up from Ayr (without even seeing or test driving the car......lucky Im an honest guy
) to take her away. As soon as he drove off in it I immediately regretted it and I knew the BMW 3 Series I'd just bought wasn't going to cut it.
So I got thinking, I'd always fancied a LCR and infact I've always loved the Onvi colour, originally wanting to find my Ibiza Cupra in Onvi. So I got on a few local sites and gumtree and in 3 days had managed to find a nice looking LCR reasonably local. Arranged to meet the same day in Dundee as it was equal distance from us both, and well one thing led to another and I drove back home in my LCR
One of the cleanest I've ever seen (only on 85k, just had a brand new Ko4 fitted too), red brembos, not pink and not in 50 shades of yellow either. Specs pretty standard apart from an upgraded TIP, lowering springs, deep dish steering wheel and a 007p...this will change. Drove it back from Dundee and loved every second (apart from possibly a whoorin amount of tyre noise or a rear bearing issue, which Il need to look into however I really couldn't care less atm, just happy to be back in a Seat) feels pretty slow compared to my old Ibiza but Il treat her to some toys and that'll change
Currently just enjoying the way it handles compared to the Ibiza, then Il look into an exhaust, service the 007p, possibly a new TIP as the one thats on just now is just a cheap ebay jobbie, fmic and a remap. Currently thinking stage 2 as I know il get bored of Stage 1 almost instantly
