well i'm back!

after a year of the pain that was MINI ownership and a month of searching for a replacement, i'm back in the MK4 fold but with an FR TDI instead of a 1.2....and i love it

This specimen only has 28,00 miles from new, 08 reg and has already had a damn good basis of mods! from what i can gather from searching the receipts it's got:

Colour Coded rubstrips (win)
newly refurbed TT comps with yoko parada spec brand new tyres (win)
Coilovers, not sure which but as the springs are red i assume cheapy ********* ones or something, ned to investigate (win)
Rear ARB (win)
Full stainless steel turbo back exhaust (win)
Smoked rear lights (growing on my slowly)
and i've put the sub and stereo back in as the alana one was gash!

i swore i wouldn't modify it, but y'all know how that ends up.

i heart tractor power and the mpg it gives, i think i'm in love....

Looks like a nice example. Not too keen on the alloys if i'm honest, prefer the standard facelift FR ones, but each to their own. Are the parking sensors factory fit?

Nice and subtle, previous owner had very good taste it seems. I'm in love with the TT comps.

thanks for the comments peeps, parking sensors are factory yeah, the wheels look better in person than on the pic, suit the car well and a bit different from the standard FR ones!

your alive??????????? WHAT!!! haha, hows things bud, nice to see an old school member back in business and with a really tidy example i might add. love TT comps myself, but maybe get them done anthrecite? break up all that silver.

i said i wouldnt modify the vRS but owell haha, do some simple bits for now like, Leds (interior) sidelights, number plate lights, paint the engine cover and battery cover, hids etc etc.

oh and as a side opinion, get the paint thinner out and remove the tints on the rear lights, terrible looking IMO for your car

i think i like the epic amount of silver, i am tempted to get the comps mirror polished though i must admit, that would be pimp!

tried to get the tints off with some white spirit and t cut etc, got some of it off then gave up a little bit, they look much darker in the photos than they do in person, but i do need to get it off i agree!

TT Comps = WIN! lol
Looks good, not a fan of the tinted rear lights but apart from that, its nice!
If you do get the comps mirror polished, just remember it'll be it'll be hard to keep them clean and shiny, but its worth it!

hmm i thought white spirit would have made it a doddle, you got a machine buffer? maybe soak the pad in white spirit and buff it all off?

looking good, not big fan of comps or the dark tints

gotta love the oil burners.....makes for nice easy cruises to work with over 60mpg and then nice umphhh when you want it and still retain over 40 mpg!
