Dash information display

Just picked up a 2014 Leon 1.6 Tdi Technology today but was wondering why the display controls on the RH stalk dont do anything. Is there a way of activating them. The central display between the speedo and rev counter I thought would show various details like mpg, trip etc

I'm assuming you mean steering wheel? Unless the spec of your doesn't include the info display I would assume they should work.

Have you got a photo. Mine looks similar to this...

The direction buttons left and right take you through the different screens (Nav, Radio, Car Data etc) the scroll wheel then looks through the different options on said section, e.g. on car data it maybe spoeed, oil temp, water temp etc.

I dont have an FR model but the dials and the media screen look exactly the same

Without any other info, I suspect the buttons on the right are faulty then.

Do you have controls on the steering wheel or do you mean the buttons on the end of the wiper stalk?

All I have is this compass thing on the centre screen and the controls on the steering wheel do nothing

I suspect there is a fault somewhere, maybe the switch’s, maybe a control unit.

To see if the whole set of buttons is broke, set a destination on the nav unit. Once it’s going, see if the scrolling button gives you the option to cancel the navigation.

If you bought from dealer take it back!

Hopefully it’ll be a wire that’s been disconnected, but then why would a wire like that he disconnected unless the airbag was replaced. I’d be suspect if the car. Hope you bought it off a dealer!

If none of the controls work it sounds like a multi-plug not connected rather than faulty switches. Hopefully easy to fix.
