my bulbs have just gone and need to be replaced, i have the usual backlit orange lights, how easy it is to chane them to blue? what has to be done and are special bulbs needed?

any help appreciated thanks

Im sure crezz changed his. Im planning to do the same thing but im putting red bulbs in.

Im sure you have to remove the orange filter thing thats on the top where the lights go in. You are able to change the bulbs behind the digital displays aswell.

yeah i done mine. really easy...the leds are 509t 's... take the speedo unit out and the leds are on the back...also you will see a orange plastic strip, take this off otherwse the blue leds arnt bright enough

I got a light out on my dash to its the one on the left (behind speedo) can i change it????? If so how long dose it take?

Are thats cool then will ave ago when i get chance :) Got change the light to say the front fogs are on to as it dont light up when i put the front fogs on dose when i put the back on.

Dont underestimate the self healing power of the Ibiza.
One of mine has been dead for 2 years and came to life some weeks ago :)

Bit of topic here but its not worth starting a new thread:
My car has a seperate switch for a set of aftermarket driving lamps/spots i got put on when i bought it 3 years ago, its a crappy looking red switch so was thinking of doing a swap with a black one that has a little red LED light to light up wen its on. These switches have 3 pins on them, when i took mine out today it also has 3 pins, but ive only two wires, the middle pin is not connected. I am now thinking that the switch i have already might have a ligt on it to show its on, but isnt working ecause the middle pin is not attached, would this be the reason, and that the new switch would also not light up when on? What could be done to correct this? If i were to look for a heated rear window switch and connected it would that be easy done with the wire setup i already have? It would look a lot better than a universal switch that looks like it came of a kettle!

I'm having a problem with the back lights for my speedometer have gone. Not a big issue if its day time but a pain in the arse if it's night. I've had my dashboard out but can't see the blub I need to change. can anyone help? It's a T reg Ibiza 1.4.

Thanks !!!!

to change dash lights its easy, especially if I can do it under under 20mins!!!!

Firstly 2 +headed screws at top of black plastic surround which is in front of clocks.

Then once they have done there is 2 more +headed screws either side of the clocks. Careful to not drop them in your dash!

Then once they are removed, pull clocks forward then pull the top down towards you and bottom end away.

You should then see a grey rectangular box on top of the box in front of you. I had two green plastic bulb holders which made up my 509T bulbs and my replacement ones were longer black ones from Halfords. They twist out by either using your fingers or my green ones needed a flat headed screwdriver in the top. Simple as that then you can put it all back together again :)

main illumination is by 2 at the top in the white hood which if you unclip it will see a red acetate strip to remove the coloured glow

if you use led's make sure they are in the right way as they only light up with +ve & -ve in correct way but dont panic - put em in try it - not working take out put em back in the other way

i have blue 509T in mine from ultraleds ands its just about right

i've left the 2 lcd displays back as orange cos all blue its just one big glow and gets tiring and i prefer the contrast to be honest
