I've only had to clean mine once and it's been good since, mostly suspension stuff etc but the engine's fairly clean, it partly depends on who's had it before you I think.:)

Not yet, I'm going to speak to someone I know with a ramp and better tools, get the nuts off and replace them but leave them not to tight so I can do the rest at home.:)

Ah yes the dreaded rusty burnt nuts and bolts holding the downpipe onto the mani,

Better mpg, nicer sounding engine too, and more go, all good!

yeh I've got four of them going from the side, awkward little sods and a lack of space to swing a hammer lol :D

I was lucky - the cat is in the middle of the car on the pd 150, made for an easy job and easy to refit if needs be come the test time

But we have to fiddle at things - it gets me some peace from the missus!

yeh my down pipe goes in near the top and out at the middle, I've got a leaky flexi too though which is another eason I want to remove it, I got a new flexi off ebay.:)

Nice one, this site is some help, I would be in the dark completely if it wasn't for all on here.

Well sure let us know how it is when you get it done. I think an oxyacetylene gas torch had to be used on mine ... hint hint !!

Yeh i'm on a few forums here and in the states for the tdi cars, loads of info knocking about. I'll post once sorted though:)
