am i right in thinkin that you just bolt the cat back on for the mot?

if your engine is running well emissions will pass without a cat on these

I've seen this proven on an ABF golf. The cat was removed, the core was knocked out with a hammer & metal rod, then the hollow cat was put back on. Still passed HC, CO & lambda during the MOT
