Hi all,

I have searched the web and got nowhere. Please help!

Does anyone know how to delete duplicate entries from the phone book on the car screen?

Basically for some reason most of my contacts have suddenly got 2 copies of the same number under their one name so when i use the voice recognition it always says

'Number could not be assigned, please choose manually. '

I then have to click one of the 2 versions of the person's number in screen that come up and it calls them. It's really annoying. I have checked and nothing is duplicated on my actual phone. I have also deleted all other previously paired phones from the cars Bluetooth memory.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Have you tried deleting the phone from the car's bluetooth system and then re-pair it?

do you have your contacts on both your phone and sim memory if so the Bluetooth may be reading both lists

Hi guys, thanks for the replies. I have deleted the phone and reinstalled. Didn't work. Not sure on the SIM, I will try to find out. Didn't realise that android phones still used SIM memory, thought it was all on my Google account.
