my heater blower and circuit board that controls the speed of the heater decided to give up on me a few weeks back and many scrappys dont seem to have the time of day to get what im after! anyone got an ibiza as spares that could help me out??? i got the 2l 16v cupra, CHEERS

Do you have a photo of which bit you mean, and how much will you pay for one. therell be one in my local scrappies if you want me to get you one, but youll have to give me some $$$ first

i can get a foto up tommora wen its light, i have tried ebay quite a few times but the people breaking ibizas on there want around 70-80 quid, which i think is ridiculous. i personally dont want to be payin more than 50 quid but depends if i can get it that cheap! cheers for your help

might be a long shot, but, have you looked under in the passenger footwell. There is a red wire going to a plastic..... bit on the bulkhead, its clipped in either side, see if this is still ok and the wire is in good condition. My other car used to leak water somehow and it used to get onto this part and corrode the metal, and occasionally burn through the wire!

It just clips in so you can pull it out and see if its working ok and that the wire is sound

Worth a look, wont cost you anything

yeh if its the one im thinking of it goes to the circuit board i need, that got soaked, smoked alot and died! i tested it all on a multimeter and the only one that works is setting 4 but then the motor on the blower seized up! bloody cars

whats that stray wire then?
Looks like the connections are pretty coroded. Id try cleaning everything up, put a spade connector on the red wire and see if it works then. I cant see the motor seizing but i suppose it could. That thing controls the speed so without that it wont do much.

yeh the stray brown wire is the earth, i took the heater out the other day to test it strate off the battery, the blower wont even turn. and that circuit board is nakered as there was no flow wen i tested it on the multimeter. il hafta fone round some scrappys and see if they can deliver. cheers for you help matey
