hey guys... saw another thread on this lately , got confused , so did a search .... still foggy :)

its about the fans again .... now this is what happens in my car .....

idling , i can hear the fan , but its not that loud, like a cat purring if you know what i mean

then turn climate control on , nothing changes , put the fan speed up on CC , and by about 4 notches, the sound of the air coming out of the vents drowns out the sound of the fan ....

is this normal ?
if so then when does the high speed kick in on the fans ?

:help: thanks guys

Its a two speed fan, tells you the cut-in temps in the owners manual, noticed it the other day.

Think its around 86-94 for lower speed then 94+ for higher speed (probably talking rubbish, but its def in there somewhere)

No. Well shouldnt be.

I was sititng in the hospital car park waiting for the other half the other night for approx 5min, the low speed cut in.

On normal driving, traffic lights etc its not on, at least on my LC

but isnt it very difficult to tell over the engine noise ?
i opened the bonnet and had a look to see if the fans were running , they weren't at first then they kicked in

do they always come on together ?
