Seat Leon FR, which one????????????

I drove the Mk1 150 PDi Cupra (DEiesel) for 3 years, got an average of 44 mpg and loved it and miss it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Test drove "ALL" modles on my change to the Mk11 and eventually chose the TFSi DSG. So>>>>>>>>>>>> why back to petrol

1. I do not drive more than 12000 miles per year.
2. I did not like the problems with the Deisel FR DPF System for low milage users.
3. I drove the TFSi DSG on a test drive and found it ,,,,,,,,, awsome??????????
4. I now own a TFSi DSG and still find it awsome ;)

In other words. If you do lots of miles go for the deisel but "do not exactly expect but .....................anticipate problems"

Diesel all the way.....................Better re sale value guaranteed :)

At the moment (just!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! )

For certain "buyers" According to today's news, second hand car prices sre taking a dive as a result of the "reducing" differrence between buying a petrol or deisel car. Low milage (which MOST people do (10,000 to (now!) 15000 miles a year) stuff deisel, GO Petrol????????????????????

I hate when I have to shift my company car (HDi Peugeot) on 4k rpm :eek:P
And I absolutely hate rok-tok-tok-tok-tok sound of my friend's FR 170 TDi
comparing to TFSi, it's horribly loud...
I simply find driving turbo petrol more comfy than diesel... but that's only my opinion...

It would be best to have them both for test drive on day or two...

When I had my diesel 147 I could never get around the fact that I had a great looking car that sounded like a delivery van.

If you do long trips and long miles go for the diesel otherise get the petrol to avoid potential DPF issues with short journeys. Additionally the suspension on the petrol is a touch more forgiving when compared to the diesel.. I've driven both... though both are quite stiff I must add. Diesel does have lots of traction and is very fun to drive once you get out of 1st/2nd gear, petrol is just fun fun fun all the way till you have to fill herr up, and thats quite often :( Slightly more leg room in the back for the diesel version I do believe, still not been able to confirm this but I do believe this to be the case. Can't possible put the wrong fuel in a petrol (petrol hole to small for diesel pump). Petrol is faster :) Needless to say I went for the petrol as I had too much DPF issues to warrent me staying with the diesel but others here can testify that they've had not much worries.
