Diffinative answer needed - Do VRS rear callipers fit a 150 TDI cupra?

I just tried fitting 02 octavia VRS rear callipers and discs to my 04 TDI cupra. However I came across a problem. The the disc sits off centre to the cut in the calliper, in fact there is no clearance at all so the outside face of the disc rubs on the calliper.

I thought they should just bolt directly on as the 02 VRS calliper, so I thought, was the same as the LCR rear calliper. The reason I am doing it is mainly for the look but also because I am upgrading the fronts and want to keep the balance right.

So my questions are:
Should I need a spacer on the calliper carrier and longer bolts or are the LCR callipers different?
Is the rear hub different on an LCR to a curpa?

I have measured the discs and checked the code and they are the same discs as the LCR (256mm x 22mm vented / overall height is 37mm). I know that the solids are 39.8mm in height overall, however the distance the calliper needs to be moved by is more than a 1mm its about 5.

You can get a spacer kit from a bloke on ukmivs - it's a 5mm spacer IIRC. I had / have the same problem and ended up just fitting the DS2500 pads into the existing caliper and leaving it until I can get the spacer kit sourced.

I figured as much just been outside again and the only thing it can be a is a spacer.

Well I have a few weeks to get the kit sourced before I can get back on the ramp anyway, will hold off until them.

did some looking on uk-mkivs people there say you need a 6mm spacer.

Can't remember if it was 5 or 6mm ... but that's the bloke that was making the kit, was about 30 quid including bolts for the kit he was doing.

Just a word of warning, you'll need to remove the rear disc stone guards to get the discs on

I used a windy saw to cut the stone guard right down. Thing is I have only down as thats when I discovered I need a spacer. SO I'll have to hack the other one off in a few weeks when I can get back on in the garage and on the windy, hehe.

If push comes to shove I'll get some new solid discs and red stuffs.

You can get CRN grooved discs - DS2500 pads ... would not touch redstuff with the proverbial barge pole!
