I have just bought a Arona Fr 75 plate, car is six months old. How do you reset the trip ?, on my last car which was a sport it was easy. I am using the standard digital display on the model the twin dials view option view is not an option. Manual says be in drive mode and scroll with the right wheel til trip is displayed, maybe I am not in drive mode…..

In our Arona we dont bother. As far as Miles covered from the last fill up and how many more can you do its available on the infotainment screen. Now if you are filling in expenses sheets like the old days then yes.

I seem to recall it may be hidden behind the AAC control or something (distance covered, mileage).. hmm. Not being straightforward the driver didn't bother. The Ateca its just a good old fashioned button.

It will be in the manual.

For you its in the service menu of the infotainment:

Well that's the page from the pdf for the year of the Arona we have here. The Seat manuals website has all the manuals by release year:

P108 was the page number of ours. There was other interesting information on that page.

Without sitting in the car you press the CAR button on the infotainment screen and flipping a few other screens if it's not on the correct one gives you the distances based on last fill up, how much to go, from ignition etc. The one where I said we dont use the trip counter that's on there. Alternatively you can reset the conventional trip counter as that page P108 that we dont bother.

Thanks for your attempt at helping me, unfortunately the manual seems to have changed for my model. Page 108 is about air on, page 23 service manual has what you say but reset trip is missing. I just liked using it when going on certain journeys, it may be easier to use the Since Start instead. My previous Arona sport had the digital cockpit and was a lot easier to use, I am happy with this car though the suspension is a lot more forgiving for my old bones. Thanks again for trying to help.

As said we did give up as well but the reset is suppose to be via the infotainment unit and the visual counter is hidden by cruise control part of the display. Toggle that off and you then get to see the mileage on the display if that's not showing at the minute. Common issue with the digital display, people can't see the mileage counter it gets hidden.

Will use my patented way of searching the pdf for all mentions of trip....

Ok try this for counter reset based on the mib3 manual for the car:

Setting the trip recorder (trip) to zero.
● While in Driving data, turn the right thumb-
wheel of the multifunction steering wheel until
.
● Keep the button on the multi-function
steering wheel pressed for approximately 2
seconds.

All that fumbling with our old bones as well couldn't be bothered with it. Now it could be one of these things where the manual is out of line with the car. So Driving data... etc as above. Thats going to be on the virtual cockpit driving data then fumbling those buttons. I don't drive the Arona myself just a passenger. I'd never get in and out of the drivers seat. Sciatica.
