the bulb should a notch which fits into a corresponding slot in the light back.

i have that done but bulbs dont seem to be producing asmuch light on dipped setting as before - thinking about it the bulbs were fitted upside down previous and i was getting great light but every driver was flashing me as if i had full beams on.

tks

Every time you used dipped beam the light was really high and over to the right - in the eyes of the opposite traffic!!!! With them in the correct way you should see a big difference to the level of light on the ground in front of you. The near side curb should be much brighter now. the bulbs should last longer to as they won't vibrate about and be firmly attached to the back of the lamp

thanks for your help - car has to undergo a nct - irish version of mot this thursday - hopefully glad i took the time to check lights as its an instant fail.

Bulbs should be fitted with the 'tab' uppermost, i.e at the 12 o'clock position, I got mine upside down and has sh*te lighting till I realised ooops!
