Hi there guy's, I believe I'm experiencing problems with my DV, I am running revo software on her.

it's almost as if it's not sealing right, when I'm running on the higher bhp map (I have the SPS), it's just doesn't get any power, and it's as if it surges, but if I lift off the throttle and put back on its seems to go better but not what It should. If I run it on the stock map it's fine (just slow lol)

it' is the uprated original one from Seat,

Does anyone recommend an after market performance part or am I best sticking with an OEM one, I know forge have the relocation kit available, but I have been looking at the DV+, which is the one I'm preferring.

Any advice would be great as I'm quite stuck on what to do.

Yours is a 1.4 tsi right? Thought my DV had gone recently as it wasn't boosting properly but turned out to be a sticking actuator and the entire turbocharged required replacement. Would suggest doing a scan with VCDS and see if any P0299 errors come up, main thread is a few below this.

Revision G > revision D
Forge > revision G
DV+ is apparently > than all the above!

Hi mate, yea mine is the 1.4 tsi, what was yours doing exactly, and do you know if you can just get the actuator itself?? And did it put an error on the dash, or and engine management light, because mine doesn't.

Thanks for the information, could prove to be very useful and save me wasting moneys :)

You'll probably end up getting stung for the whole unit unless VWG release the actuator as a seperate part.

Actuator is fixed to turbo so it's an expensive job and no warning lights, although when mine did it, it occasionally misfired but I'm not sure if that was a dodgy map as well. Mine mainly caused problems upto 3k revs, try putting it in 5th or 6th at around 2k revs and use full throttle, it will probably surge on and off (the higher the boost pressure the more noticeable)

Yep whole unit needs replacing. No warning lights just I kept noticing a lack of boost on occasion and then one day I lost the turbo altogether and it became like driving a normal 1.4 (slow!!)

Hi mate, you wanted to say thanks for taking the time to post the information up.

I believe iv found the fault, a while back, I bought the forge boost gauge adapter which is connected to the inlet manifold, so I think its been running too rich or too lean at times which is causing the power loss,

Its a shame really, abit of a novelty having the gauge, and this is now the second thing iv purchased from FORGE that's caused problems on my car, the first been the BOV adapter, so I think in the future ill be avoiding them.

I've got a filter it's just the spacer made the dv noise quieter as was annoying when sat at say 50/60 with a constant noise (because little boost required)

Hey Simon-

Has your car always performed like this, or is it a new fault/symptom you're experiencing?

Hi Evan, to my knowlage its only behaved like this since I'v had the boost gauge fitted, it certainly hasnt done it before then, I had to use the forge adapter to fit the boost gauge because you can'nt just tap into a pipe on the turbo.
