Do I need a new Gearbox?

1.0 Arosa, 1999, I get this whistling sound when in 5th gear.

It seems to work alright, just this whistle.

Any ideas or do I need a new GB?

get it checked out as you may just need 5th gear bearings?
must admit if 5th gear goes it usually damages the other bearings
if you catch it quick then you may save it

Ah, that would still involve taking it all off, for that price, I think I'm best off getting a new GB.
