do the seatsport spherical "air metal" gear knobs listed for mk2 @ seat fit mk1?

I'm referring to the gearknob here:

so I know they certainly used to fit the MK1 leon, and I've read that they fit the mk3 ibiza. Currently dealers only have them listed against the mk2 leon. Does anyone know if it's still the same part?

I've sat in a mk1 with one fitted, and don't see why they would change the part design when they were first mentioned on the forums in 2006 (so were probably always listed as a mk2 part). Just hoping someone can confirm!!
