Do you know what this Warning light is?

Hello,

i was wondering if you can help me. A warning light on my Wreg 1.9sdi seat ibiza (don't laugh) has come on and i don't know what it relates too.

I've checked the manual but the manual doesn't fit with my car, some obscure spanish thing..

Any help from you guys would be much appreciated..

how long have you had the car? As i believe that is just a light to say your glow plugs are warming up when the light goes out you start the car!

if it just your glow plug warmimg light on all the time i think its when you brake switch is faulty

Hello,

Ah its to do with the spark plugs, cheers! I've had the car 9 years now, and its the first time that i have noticed it come on. I have been having a few problems recently cutting out on me then failing to start afterwards but have just changed the relay which did the trick. warning light seems to be a precursor to this new relay.

It doesn't come on immediately at start but after a few minutes of driving it will start flashing on and off until i stop the car. It still drives and starts ok however....

so what do you think i should do?

This winter has been pretty harsh, maybe i should get some new spark plugs, sorry to bore everyone, its not the most exciting thread

you dont have spark plugs in adiesel as it works under compression, you have a glow plug, thats where your problem will lie, if it hasnt been changed in the past 9 years!!!
