do you need stage 2 remap for decat?

hi,

if fitted decat do yu need stage 2 map or can you just use a lamba spacer?? as stage 2 i have to pay another 120 pounds as a spacer will cost 15 at most. do they do anything special i.e increase boost further on turbo or just delete eml light for the decat for stage 2.

You don't need a stage 2 no, a lambda spacer will do the job fine.

Check a tuners website for stage 1 gains then stage 2. You get more power and torque plus no EML light at all. I have been running my decat with spacer for 5months no light but am planning on stage 2 as soon as the front mount goes on.

There's another point if you ain't got a Fmic there's no point in stage 2

Hey guys in the very same boat !!

Have revo stg1 at mo, ordered my lambda spacer and booked in to Simons custom exhausts on Tuesday for a turbo back inc decat

Looking to go stg2 but need to wait till next month for funds to buy a fmic !!

So question is if lambda spacer cures cel is it worth paying for another map ??

Will it be noticeable ??

From what I believe , these cars aren't clever enough to adapt to the mods that have been done . Stage 2 on revo will just adjust the ecu to suit and get the maximum out of what you have done .
