Does the Aero kit alter the Leon's dimensions much?

I was wondering if it changed the length or width of the car as on another thread someone (without the kit) joked about the insurance potentially being more expensive as it's then classed as a bus with it's extra kit on!

Your insurance would probably be more expensive as the car is none standard. Most companies increase the premium for external changes.

One company last year hiked the premium quoted just for my factory fit options.

If you compare the dimensions of a Cupra against a K1 online wouldn't that tell you?

I would say no, does not change dimensions by much at all. But insurance yes.

It probably just depends who you try & what their policies are. Who is your insurance with? Might give them a try first!

Only dimension that changes is the width of the car due to the skirts , near the front wheel they are their widest and as such mine has been damaged on high kerbs

Anyone else done this to theirs?
really pissed me off when i saw it the other day !

no my insurance hasnt gone up my last insurer did pack it up by £78 for so called non standard mods ive changed company and now they know of all mods and charged no more at all
