Does this sound normal - New updated added 21/05/2011

UPDATE:

Forgot to update this earlier, I had a play inside the car and its nothing inside causing the noise.

I can hear the noise start as soon as I start the car. Ive got my battery cover and rubber mounts for my engine cover come today, so when I add them later, i will have a more detailed look in the engine bay.

ANOTHER UPDATE:

Came to drive home tonight, the noise has lost alot of volume. Double checked when I parked up in the garage and was definately quieter tonight .

I have seen theres another thread going with the same problem, didnt realise so many people have been suffering with this!

yea thats the beauty of it just goes and comes as it pleases.

i am pretty sure its either stones in the undertray or the heat shield near exhaust

Did you not clear all the stones out from your undertray tho Lee?

yea removed the 2 long ones down the side of the car and emptied them out.

then bent the heat shield near teh exhaust. noticed today when it was on the ramps again that its the heat shield covering the steering wheel motor. i think it might of been one of them 2.

Must get mine jack up and emptied out then before I go for my 4 hour drive on Sunday :/.
