There is a good 1 in faq's section,do it properly the 1st time with butyl tape,save you alot of time if silicone don't work & alot of ppl on here have tried it & failed
 
Yep as above silicone only lasts a short time I know cause I tried it butyl tape is on know and it's never been a problem.

Anyone ever removed the rubber seal at the bottom of the door completely so the water can drain put free of any obstacles
 
No, but you can slice to v's into the rubber so the water drains away rather than sitting on the plastic.

I was actually on about the seal that fits to the bottom of the door where the drain holes are
 
U know u have put the vs like that if the water isn't draining away in the first place with the holes why would it drain more with the vs the other black rubber would be stopping any water getting out surely
 
Okay wicked I done the door seals last night ill put some vs in too for good measure is two enough can I also do this to the rear. Thanks mate
 
Opened doors no water on sills back carpet and front passenger side still wet but pressume it needs to be dried out
 
I ordered all the bits listed in the guide, fingers crossed the weather holds at the week end because im sick n tired of steamed up windows. That guide looks first class. I shall report back.
