Hi folks, just wondering if anyone knows where i can get some strong double sided tape to stick the strip of dool seal that is above the doors (the one that runs from the front of the A pillar over the front and rear doors and stops by the door catch of the rear) cos mine has come away at the front and had to completely remove it cos it kept falling and getting trapped in the door. Ive tried a few double sided tapes (which last a few days only) but would really like to know if anyone has any idea where i can get some good tape with the thin layer of foam in between. Carpet is getting wet now and soaking wet windscreen when i get in the car everymorning :( :(

Seat reckon that its £50 for a new one but surely they have that wrong cos its only a rubber seal with tape on

Cheers

I don't think so as I stuck on my door seal on the old clio with a line of glue and it held for 18 months with no problems. It was only loose in a 10 inch section though. Not sure for the whole seal.

the seal is no way £50. i bought one, but haven't fitted it.

i'm more concerned as to what to use to get the old sticky stuff off?

my nails (no nails left on my right hand now lol) to pick the remaining tape off and tar and glue remover to get the remainder of the sticky stuff off. I thought they had it wrong when i asked about the price (think they must have priced up a door lol). If you can let me know the part then il order one asap. Did it come with the tape already attached to it?
Cheers

sorry, forgot about this :hide:

part number is 1M0837727D B41, described as 'SEAL'

not sure if they're specific to which side they're for. mine's for the driver's side, if it makes a difference
