Dpf delete and stage one

Get average around 215bhp upto 220bhp with DPF out, lovely smooth power through the range, more mpg, well worth doing, transforms the car. Not just a low down punch like the older PD engines.
Do u know the ins and outs of the software needed for a dpf delete, how is it done exactly are the sensors set to values they cannot achieve or are they disabled completely, I'm assuming that's all the work regarding the remap for the dpf,

Does it matter at the end of the day then? I want it done dusted and never to be bothered with again, Any man that's good with a welder can gut it, it's the software end I was curious about, also how does letting the likes a powerflow do the dpf delete and software then going to revo for a remap work out

depends on who does the delete, i know many cheap companies just delete the DTC codes, we do it properly, the sensors still sort of work but you have to sort the regen cycle out to when its done properly, all sensors are still in place and plugged in etc, the job should look untouched and people only will know if you tell them
You see there's info I couldn't find, stage 2 revo remap has the coding for the dpf delete then? Is this likewise for stage 1 then? Or should I just go stage 2 and be done with it with a Sps switch

Cheap company work is what I'm weary of and I'm trying to arm myself with the questions I need to ask to get it done properly, there's 3 sensors to code and the regen process to remove, but I see tales of sensors having to be replaced (lamba and what not)

Revo stage 1 does not have any provisions for DPF delete Revo stage 2 does you can get revo stage 2 put on with the vehicle as it sits but you would need to Run in SPS 1 until the necessary work has been carried out.

The cheap way of doing it they gut the DPF and then Delete the DTC that this will create.
The proper way they bypass it the sensors still work and are giving reading and the car is still picking these up so the sensor can still fail and bring up the light Unit9 will probably give you more info I've only modified older pre dpf diesels so my understanding of the coding is not 100%
Didn't think I could do that, just means things have to be done in reverse order, have to get a custom exhaust made as well
Revo isn't as talked about here it's normally van in man on mk4 golfs and boras, hybrids are common

I honestly wouldn't worry about the sensors, probs only need replacing if who ever does the DPF removal if they damage them, and if that's so could still really map them out
So if I have revo stick a stage 2 map on with Sps, run stock until delete, then remove dpf I obviously have to run stage 2 all the time then as the dpfs been removed, no switching back and forth to stock on the Sps making it pointless to have,

Just keep in mind that if you do a DPF delete you will have to get it mot'd by a garage that will turn a blind eye if they find out. As far as I'm aware it's only a visual and emissions check and on these cars it's hard to see so as long as it passes the emissions you'll be fine buddy.
Doesn't get tested on emissions, it's smoke that comes out the back and with a decent map will pass all day long
Yes a decent map is essential if doing a dpf delete and also the regen process needs to be sorted on the file.Lol I've seen a few that have had the delete and with a terrible map,the amount of black smoke that come out under WOT was unbelievable and they ran really rough.
Used to have a mk2 Fr derv and looked into doing a delete but in the end sold it for my mk2 Cupra.
Ultimately the FR was a great car as standard but just didn't give me the grin factor like I get from the Tfsi.

This is off the gov website and it mentions the emissions and how they have to be an instant fail if it doesn't pass.
This law may have recently changed but I remember when I asked a few tuners and test stations they said it had to have the two checks I mentioned.
Something I'm sure has changed is its illegal for a any company to advertise a dpf delete service.
