Well I spent 5.5 hours at AMD in Essex today and my FR is now DPF free with a custom map too!

Its a different car. So much more grunt and 6th gear on the motorway is now amazing.

Dyno showed 229HP and 339lb torque  Not bad for a smoker huh?

AMD reckon the map wont be at its best until 3 or 4 cold starts and averaging 85/90mph on the M25 on the way back I still got 48mpg :p

Mid range feels as quick as my K1 was so im pretty damned happy

Blimey the mk2s really do go well with the DPF delete. Wouldnt be suprised if you gave me a good run for my money even with the hybrid turbo.

Christ!!! I don't get that MPG down a hill!!!!!
This sounds seriously tempting

Now how to convince the 'bread knife'

You git! :D

After me recommending you go there for it, you get it done before me!

I'm booked in on the 9th

Good then? :D

Hehe im impulsive! Mate you gotta do it. Dont bother with the cat back for £500 though. you will get a couple more horses and spool up a little quicker but thats it. sounds better with the Miltek down pipe anyway.

How much is it from AMD?
£719 all in which includes the down pipe, map, 3 dyno runs and a few cups of tea.

The time didnt drag too much, I wrote a filthy letter to my gf to pass the time ;)

Just tell her within a few months it would have paid for itself in fuel savings!!!

Hi I just picked up my FR yesterday & i'm considering having my dpf removed! are you guys not concerned about your warranty as that is the only thing stopping me.

welcome to the dpf delete club hahaha. hows the smoke from yours?? the power is amazing!

No idea bout the smoke my car is black ;)
Yep power is certainly there and im on course for my first 600 mile tank. Its just under half full and ive done 400 miles :D

I see the price undercuts the competition a little;) Maybe there will be a little price war now:whistle:
I see your point about the exhaust, I was wondering if it would be a little louder[B)]

Hello all

I fancy having this done, just worried about the M.O.T anybody know if the cars get through with the DPF off?

lol I'm not that daft; just curious if deleting the dpf is considered a 'notifiable' mod and if so what the insurers view is?

Technically anything that deviates from the standard specification is a notifiable mod and seeing as it increases power, albeit combined with other factors then their view is probably going to be along the lines of bend over and give us some more money.
