dpf removal north wales

quick question , my car is going in for a custom stainless exhaust with no back boxes just a straight pipe + a tip. i've got the leon 170 PD so im looking to get it mapped to stage 2 with dpf delete. the only people near me are north wales tuning/remap UK . wondering if anyone has used them for dpf's and the outcome?

also what sort of bhp and torque would i be expecting with the exhaust, induction kit and stage 2 and dpf delete?

no PD170 Tuning isnt simple and i certainly would't let a company loose on it ive never heard of

If you want yours tuning correctly your going to have to travel im afraid

Ok cheers. Who would you recommend then? And would it be possible for me to tale the dpf out and travel? As my intentions were to do the labour intensive part myself lol!

3 Companies i would trust

Sha.rk Performance - They retuned mine after i let JBS Loose on it, made very good figures
Darkside Developments - well known in the diesel tuning circle
RS Tuning - They have tuned a hybrid turbo PD170 recently


Unfortunately for you they are all in the Yorkshire/Derbyshire area

I would rather travel to keep my car healthy tbh. Would a intake system and a stainless 2.5 inch without back box help get more bhp?
Would I be able to drive far with the dpf removed before getting the map? As I was going to remove myself, thanks again

I ran a 3" straight through exhaust on mine, No boxes what soever but it was super loud, 2.75" with no boxes or a very small box would be the way i would go if it was me again.

CAI dont really make a different with TDI's


im pretty sure the car would go into limp mode straight away or very soon

Just emailed ***** and they suggested I got a stage 1 map done and keep that for a few months to see how the car responds to tuning. But from what I've read on here stage 1 is more hassle? Whats you're opinion with stage 1?

Get dyno'd/ ecotech performance, are in north Wales. Give Simon a bell I'm sure he will be able to answer any questions you have.

Actually yeh Ecotune are Chester way go see them, i think they work in conjunction with the well know R.Tech who are well known in the vag tuning world

Stage1 DPF Removal will have no problems at all

AndrewJB, Where in yorkshire is there? im having nothing but grief with my 2008 fr tdi and only had it 2 weeks, Might get dpf taken out and remapped.. Will it still pass mots now and in future?

They offer a very cheap DPF Delete and some extra power but they are far from the levels of Sh.ark performance and Darkside Developments who offer proper tuning
