dq381 worrying noise, cupra 290

i own a cupra 290 which i had a dsg service done by vw at 38k as i was noticing a chatter type noise as the car goes from 2nd to 1st. i have managed to replicate this noise by putting the car into drive and revving it while keeping the brake held down. could someone advise me what it could potentially be, the car is off in next friday to be looked at under used approved warranty but i am concerned they will try pull the wool over my eyes.

Chattering DQ381 transmission coming to a stop

Since 6k when I got the car (30k now) my car has had an audible clunking/chattering sound when coming to a stop from 2nd gear shifting into 1st. I looked it up real quick then and saw chattering is normal and left it alone. Got a TCU tune at about 10k miles and the chattering still persisted...

My car (same gearbox) makes an identical noise.

Hi mate, I had a brand new gearbox and flywheel and also replaced engine mounts and made no difference, if anything the only thing that made a difference was replacing the subframe but was still present

Yes, even though it sounds awful

Thank you for the reply - must be just a 'characteristic' if yours still does it after all that work.
As you say it's a pretty awful noise, would be interesting to know how many others are affected by it.
