Drips - Air con related?

When i pulled up earlier i noticed a slight drip from underneath the car

It's definately water, and isnt coolant as mine as a red dye to it, and this didnt feel hot like the coolant would of been, and the engine was definately warm

The car wasnt show any ill signs or effects. Then i thought......it was sweltering! Air con was turned onto maximum for about 3 minutes then i turned it down to half, is it condensation? Like a air con machine needs a condensation drip so it can catch the water?

So i turned the air con off and ive been to the supermarket and to my friends, and the drips have stopped

It seemed to be coming from just in front of the dashboard under the bonnet area, so its almost certainly not engine related, i can see it dripping but im not sure what it is? it drips just past the wishbone and onto the floor, when we first noticed and i had the air con on maximum, as we pulled up the dripping was still continuing but it was only moderate, but there was still the odd drip after 20 minutes when we got to the supermarket there was no trace.

Is it condensation from the air con? Since ive stopped using the air con there has been no trace, or is there an issue i need to resolve here

Thanks in advance

sounds like the aircon residue where it takes the water out the air - probably very pure to taste too if it is that

I just thought of the air con as i used it rather 'excesively' for the first time of having the car, and also the water drips been clean and not hot like coolant, no trace of oil and no ill effects of the car, im not worried, just want someone to say 'mines does the same' because it will give me some sort of........ comfort  ill keep an eye on it tho, ive just checked it now, no drip

Condensate drain from the air cooling matrix, yes. Very common under all cars with air cooling at this time of year - very hot and moist air being cooled, water gets squeezed out and has to drain away.
