So im at a Media event and have access to all of the SC range


Just been out in the 1.8T 180ps DSG and gotta say i love it here are some pics of it.

think next up will be the 2.0TDI 184ps even though ive already driven this in 5-Door LHD form. might then take out the 1.4T or 1.6TDI

It does look very bland and boring

Is the 1.8 just a smaller capacity version of the 2.0 tsi?
or a completely different engine?

In my previous review at 5-Door media day i said my favourite was the 2.0TDI 184PS but its definately changed now to the 1.8TSI DSG 180ps

The 1.8 is a new engine EA888 if I am not mistaken.

Now maybe it is me being an old git (in a young persons body) but I quite like it for its 'understatedness' you can have an average looking car and some cocky next to you at the lights and you can make light work of them. Were they expecting it? Nope

On the positive front I think maybe when the Cupra comes out then you will find that there is going to be plenty of aftermarket parts that fit the bill for aggressive looks etc to give it an edge
