Drivers Door Sill Leaking

Hi Guys,

I have a 2005 Altea 1.9 Stylance that has develped a leak at the top of the drivers door between the door seal and the roof of the car, and of late i am finding after it rains heavy a nice bit of water is leaking into car.

any idea of where its leaking is when i am sitting in the drivers seat during heavy rain i am getting drops of rain at shoulder level.

there dosnt seem to be any obvious problems with the door seal that i can see.


anyone having same problems?

You could try some clear silicone sealer along the likely spot, or just renew the whole seal.

i had a similar thing ages ago, turned out i was missing a rubber gromit on the door, either at the top or the bottom (under the door sill).
try that. My car filled with 2-3 inches of water every time it rained.

Hi, I have had the same problem and just had it 'Fixed' at the local dealer. However there is still a small amount of water getting through the door sills so am in the process of looking for another Seat dealer to take a look or may even take it to my local Vaulxwagon garage although I am not sure that they will be able to fix it under warrenty??
