ive got to do drivers-side inside CV boot at weekend so want to know: with the shaft bolts undone and the shaft seperated from gearbox, the boot will just slide over the shaft? is the big block in the middle a spacer that comes out when the bolts are out?

second hand from a golf gti getting broke on the bay. you dont need an alignment tool, just use a screwdriver! :)

replace it is then. its not the last resort though. the last resort is holding ping pong paddles out the window to indicate which way your turning :cartman:

cos im not spending a nearly 90 quid on one just to find out its pedal box or something else thats the issue. getting brand new release bearing though as i think thats whats causing it.

Yea but you could go through all this work to change the clutch to find your new second hand clutch to wear within a few weeks or months????

I find it pointless to buy a second hand clutch, it's like buying second hand pants lol.

A ****ed padel box is normally a cracking sound when you're pressing the clutch, won't effect much else.
