That's criminal. Here in Sweden, we have BIG signs who warn in really good time. And the camera is comming a kilometer or more after the warning. Was supposed to post some pics but I have only made 15 posts so no go But if you use Google and you'll find out how they look like. Big blue and white

The weirdest thing is, that of those 1077 speed cameras are not active at same time. I can say that out of my own experience Some cameras are in "sleep-mode", some not. I'm not sure but someone who knows about this better than me told me that they are only 60% in use randomly.

Never been in France despite that I have a cousin in Paris, but when I was in Swiss in december last year, they have signs, not at clear as we have here though almost hidden, BUT those are active 100%, takes a sweet pic at front AND at back of the speeding car.

Well they haven't updated the copyright footer, but if you read it the doc is signed off as January 2012 and contains the stuff about radar detectors / speed camera signs / compulsory triangles, jackets etc.
