Driving modes

Can somebody explain the driving modes on my seat Leon fr 184 I played around in sport mode today,it doesn't feel quicker than normal mode just sounds stupid with the sound actuator don't sound real.
Any body had a remap if so how much quicker and how's the mpg affected?
Is the revo remap the best to have?

Changing driving modes does not increase the power output.

Sport mode makes the steering heavier and sharpens up the throttle response, also lets you travel higher up the rev range before wanting you to change gear
