my doorhandle on the inside doesnt seem to be working and in order to investagate i need to take off the door card i had a quick look and i am stumped any ideas??? thanks

tom

remove the black plastic trims that surround the door handle and window switches, there are 3 ( I think) gold headed screws which hold the door card on, remove these and give the door card a tug and its should come free

cheers mate also any diagnosis on the inside door handle not workin by any chance?

there is actually a guide in the (funnily enough) "guides section" on how to remove the door card. becareful with the pop in clips when removing the panel.. i'd guess the long pin hat the lever pulls has come apart? might not even need to remove the whole door card to have a look

cheers guys i got the doorcard off in the end and i think i need a new door handle cable on the interior, checked on the old tinterweb cant find any.....any ideas?

I dont get it

I'm sorry guys but I been searching round for hours and cant seem to find info or figure out how to get the door card off my mk3 ibiza. Some idiot totally destroyed my drivers side wing mirror so need to remove the plastic cover by the tweeter and also the door card so i can place the new cable for adjusting the mirror in. But so far i have got as far as removing the trim around the handle and disconecting the switches, i have also removed the large gold screws as i read i needed to remove them then it would just pull off but it still seems really solid and i cant see how it will pull off the door handle is still in the way for starters as far as i can tell?
I am probably being really stupid but would massively appreciate any help, thanks guys

Thanks mate, i must not of been searching the right words as i didnt find either of them articles. Just a quick question, does it take quite a bit of force to pull the door panel off as it seems really solid still? and do i really need a trim removal tool or will a screw driver do? also is it best to pull away from the rear most bottom corner first or any particular place? Much appreciate your help thanks

Yes it does. Alot of force the first time! Dont need a trim removal tool really, just get your fingers in behind the bottom outside corner and pull damn hard! then just work along to the next clip :D oh and make sure the two screws and the central locking stalk are removed! ;)

Good luck

Thanks mate, really appreciated. Will give this a bash tomorrow after work.
