Hope this is the correct section, apologies if not and I have searched the forum and google for an answer on this..
I’ve noticed driving around with the gearbox in D casually or more spirited there’s no additional noises but as soon as the gearbox is put into S, this brings a loud whine type noise through the rev range.
I can’t put my finger on what it is as I thought S was just an ecu change for faster shifting, longer revs and lower gears to keep it ready to go?
shifts fine, nice and smooth etc. Cupra 280 64k miles 2015, receipt for DSG service etc.
It does have an m52 intake, airtec cooler/charge pipes, racing line turbo elbow, GFB DV+ and Forge muffler delete which are all relatively new.. I have noticed some more air noise when accelerating but assumed that was due to all the mods but the whine is loud and you can hear it clearly with the windows open.
Any advise or things to check would be appreciated, I have access to VAGCOM if needed.
