Dual Climate Control - Link temperatures??

Hi all,

Had my Mk2 Leon 2.0TDI for nearly two weeks now and, whilst I'm loving it (certainly nippier than my girlfriend's 1.5 Yaris), it bugs me that I have to change both temperatures on the dual climate control.

Does anyone know if there's a way to link the temperatures so they both change together? I've seen on other forums for Audi and VW that holding the 'Auto' button can do this, but not sure if it works for Seat.

It wouldn't be so much hassle if it wasn't for the fact that she has her side at 27 or HI a lot and when I'm in the car alone that's far too warm for me!

Cheers!

In my facelift, there's a "Dual" button just above the drivers side knob.

Wow, quick reply. Thanks! Mine doesn't appear to have a "dual" button (or a driver's side knob for that matter). My controls are the same as those in this photo:

Thanks,

Garry

Did not know this could be done. Currently looking for a facelift climate control unit, but needs to have heated seat function.

Thanks! Gave this a go earlier and sure enough it works! That's much easier than pressing both controls when changing the temperature.

For others who want to know. Once you hold auto the two temperatures will synchronise (I assume to the drivers side temperature). After that, pressing the drivers side temperature up and down buttons will change both temperatures at once. If a passenger (or driver I guess) presses the passenger side temperature up and down buttons it will disable the synchrony and be back to independent temperatures.

Handy stuff!

So after synchronising the controls, it seems that it works in exactly the same way as the dial equipped units on the facelift models :)

It works if you use the drivers side only, touch the passenger side and they unlink again

It had pee'd me off for a year having to adjust both sides individually before discovering this :)

Funny the things you learn, I read it online somewhere not long after I got the car, but it was only by chance I saw it. It must have been a right pain to keep adjusting them separately!

It really was. Especially as the gf feels the cold like you wouldn't believe so the passenger one was constantly being whacked up to ~27'C!
