Im constantly amazed by what you can do on a phone nowadays.... How the heck does it work....

Uses gps and accelerometer i believe. Had a go at this twice in mine with my mates i-phone, was wet and i had one bald tyre on the inner edge! Managed a 7.7 to 60 and didnt do the full quarter mile. the private road was far too short lol Might have another go on a dry day, though i dont like driving like this if im honest!

its uses the accelerometer in the iphone (and possibly the GPS) to calculate figures based on parameters you put in like the weight of your car

It wasn't too accurate when I tested it on my Mk3... or my mates 660BHP GT4.

Said I had 120BHP (RR'd at 198 )

Said my mate had 400BHP lol!

I'd imagine not however If there was an android version I'd expect it'd plug into the odbd (Or whatever) port for more accurate readings... but thats because androids simply a more serious phone

My results from an unmodified FR TDI:

Seems reasonably in line with other results and quoted figures.

Sometimes I think it takes the factory stated figures and hangs the time
around there! I'm gunna try going slow and see if it's any different! Lol

I have Dynolicious, but I haven't tested yet hehe. Another one good app, is the Racechrono, but it doesn't work with the iPhone. I have a old Nokia N73 to use it.
