Easiest way to cut my rear splitter

Now the exhaust is on, I can see it melting the rear splitter so what tools are best to cut it, and/or where do I find a heat resistant plate ??

Coping saw or Jig saw and halfrauds?

take your time, measure twice, cut once!!! simples.

I've seen those 'heat resistant plates' at Halfords, and I do wonder whether they are actually heat resistant or whether they would melt as quick as the splitter. Like most things in Halfords they seem to be there for their looks only.

I personally wouldn't use a power tool to cut it, it's going to be at an odd angle and plenty of scope for missing. A good old junior hacksaw would be my preference.

Matty.. let the exhaust melt it a bit, use that as a guide for cutting , then do a very slow job of it.. (knowing your a bodg'itt and scarper merchant and you'll c0ck it up otherwise) ... DO NOT under ANY circumstances stick one of the little CHAVVY sticky back plates on your car, or i WILL ridicule you on a daily basis.
