Model Year 21/22 Formentor blanked off intake

Hello all I'm wondering if anyone has had any luck with the following.

I have just installed a r600 induction kit and as like most kits it has both sides of the air guide open however the formentor and ateca I believe have one side blanked off just behind the grill on the left.
So far I have googled as much as I can and I have poked around myself trying to see if I can get This plate out to cut away the already indented grooves. I'm hoping I don't have to remove the entire bumper but it is starting to look that way, so any advice would be great thanks in advance, I'll attach some images of the front right vent and where I wish to cut.
