not in the 323mm for the cupra r i dont think. nothing comes up on there website, and when i was changing mine i'm sure i read somewhere they'd stopped making them in that size.

Right.

Been running them for a couple of weeks now and done aroudn 700 or so miles in them. They are now bedded in and the performance is....:

BLOODY BRILLIANT !

Around town in traffic it feels like you can stop on a sixpence even from cold. Out on the open road the setup with the tyres inspires me with more confidence than ever. When they warm up a little the stopping power is even more immense.

The only thing you have to watch is the weight transfer from back to front under heavy braking as it is far more pronounced now than the old standard setup and thus the backend can leap out on you if you are not careful.

You can hear the "air noise" of the pads passing the grooves under heavy braking, but its not very pronounced and certainly not bothersome even with the windows open.

The discs look brilliant too. I just need to refurb my brembos where the lacquer is starting to come off.

Highly recommended.

Good stuff! Glad to hear they are going well :D

FWIW... my stock disc and Ferodo DS pad setup is the same - minus the cool noises :)

In time what I would also recommend is a change of fluid to something like Motul (Bill sells this stuff) and it's better at running with the higher temps generated with the new pads.........this is not an essential upgrade just a noticable improvement.

It's hard to believe but the Carbon Metallic pads Bill sells are about 50% better again in bite, grip and feel..............for anyone who doesn;t mind a fair bit more dust these pads are simply awesome.

I can't see why I'd need Carbon Metallic pads to be honest. Its not like I track day the car. Although I'm quite a relaxed sedate driver normally, I appreciate these new discs and pads on the odd occasion when I want to hoon it !!

I can't imagine a brake setup 50% as good again. That would be whiplash inducing!! :ban:

totally forgotten about this thread

had mine fitted, but with goodridge braided lines and motul fluid
i love them, far more confident than the OE brakes and perform well from stone cold to the last few brakes of the trip.

Rik,this brake set up,what kind of price is it for our LC and what set up do you have,i need to get mine sorted as when it had its 60K service they found that one of the front pads must have been sticking a bit so be better to replace the lot.

cant remember total price but something like this mate

EBC 312 dimpled and grooved discs £220
Ferodo ds2500 front pads £130
Goodridge Braided lines (4) £50
3x Motul RBF 600 Fluid £30

car needed slight drilling to be able to fit the goodridge lines though, they were wider than the OE rubber so the holding brakets needing boring out a bit
