I think the Leon is a bit heavy for green, If you tend to 'lean' on your brakes then I would go Red. If you search you will find masses of info and opinion on pads.

Have got green on teh back, as they were upgraded from standard before the fronts. Have got Red at the front. They are fine even when cold due to the weight of the car, but are blinding when up to temp.

i'd steer well clear of EBC pads. i had greens on my old car and they were dire and i had reds on the front of my LCR and they lasted five months, scored my brand new discs and i wasn't overly impressed with their performance either.

i'd suggest ferodo pads everytime. currently running DS performance pads all round and i can't fault them!

Ferodo expensive

Seriously though, with standard discs, for road use, the Ferodo are a very expensive option. Had my rd stuff now for nearly a year and hardly worn. Depends how you drive i guess.

the dead feel of the reds is whats no nice about them, that and the high disk wear compared to ds2500's

reds are cheaper but you do get what you pay for.
i can supply either but will always advise ds2500's over anything ebc pad wise.

DS2500 do seem to be the performance pad of choice on here, but there's nothing wrong with EBC, I've used them on most of my cars over the years, including the LCR, and never had any problems with them. The only pads that have ever scored my discs were Galfer 1055 pads.

Why were you using green stuff for a track day? Green stuff is normally marketted as small improvement over OEM on most cars and are not ment for track use. No surprise at all that you had problems!

I had green stuff pads and brembo max discs on my old 106 gti and I personally thought they were superb, was very harsh on them at times and they never let me down once

Suppose the LC/R is a much bigger car to slow down tho.

How much is it for DS2500 pads???

DS2500 pads work very well. cold or hot. no fade and seem to get on with the discs. on my third set.

expensive? depends how much you like stopping:D

Obviously you know better than EBC, and after deciding that you know best and killing the pads on the track, you are then still entitled to slate the product.
If you don't like something just say so, but don't make sweeping statements because of your own lack of care
