anyone know the dame of the aftermarket devices that sit on your dash and plug into the ecu .....they display mpg, digital speedo, revs, everythin the ecu knows it displays, it also has a built in diognostics computer able to clear fault codes etc.....my mate has one and told me but i dont know if u can get them for the ibiza

na i got in contact with my mate its called scangauge 2, looks like this

ibizas use an obdII connection dont they , OBD2

Any car from 2001 onwards (petrol) uses EOBD which is the Euro equivalent of OBD2. Diesel engined vehicles had to be EOBD compliant from 2004, so if your vehicle is after these dates then it's EOBD compliant. OBD2 is USA spec.

However, VAG group have been implementing the technology since well before these dates.

exactly what im after damo, excellent, how did u hidee the wiring? how much was it if u dont mine me asking, i know there about £110 on ebay

Wire is just ran under the dash just above the pedals and fed up and under the centre console.

I picked mine up second hand

Its got nothing to do with saving fuel mate.

Its a electric gauge that reads dats from most sensors. It does read and clear fault codes too.

The mpg function will be handy to have as i dont have an onboard computer in my 1.4 sport

thts why im gettin one, it will save fuel if you know what ur mpg is as long as you try to get a high mpg, because i dont know what my mpg is i kick it more often and if i have a display i think i will drive more granpa like to save petrol

i'm still thinking about a liquid gauge but they so damn expensive and the display looks abit small.
