ecu remap

Hi,

I have recently bought a Leon Cupra and was told it had been remapped to 240bhp, i have the chance of buying an ECU from a cupra R of the same year as my cupra, will this ecu fit my car?
If not, how do i know whether or not the ecu in mine has been remapped/

cupra r ecu is different, its also set for a different kit spec also.

find someone with a cupra and try racing them..... on private land of course!
