ECU reset?

Hi all,

I have recently had a fault with my 130 tdi which turned out to be a split turbo outlet pipe. That has been changed and all is well again. Before this happened I had a stage 1 remap done to the car. When I changed the pipe I also fitted an induction kit and in turn disconnected the negative on the battery. As a result the car now seems standard again and have found out that when leaving for a few minutes it resets the ecu. Doh! Does this mean I have lost the remap? Need is remapping again or just the setting changed back through the ecu to get back the extra power???

Any help appreciated...

:)

depends on who did the remap!!! some times 20 to 50 miles for reset. but there is no way the map will be wiped just because the power has been dissconnceted. (they have to allow for that) other wise every time you left the lights on and have to bump start your car (oh you not what i mean)

super chips can take 6 to 12 hours to reset.i know cause i have had one!
if you find the map dosent come back, you may need to contact the mapping company for some advice!
