Hi...

While we are on the subject of ECU updates - does anyone know if there has been any for the 2.0 TDI FR? Ive not got any problems as such, but the car is coming up for its 10k service and Im not planning on taking it to Seat (unless its due an update) - as I have a local Skoda dealer...

Thanks

Chris

Chris, will an ECU update not effect your remap? I have recently got a remap and will be due my 30k service in the next few months. Im concerned that Seat will revert my ECU back during any update? Am i being stupid or is this a valid concern? I am also convinced my remap is making my exhaust too hot but thats for another thread...

would be good to hear feedback on updates wiping remaps etc.

cheers for now,

Dave

As far as Im aware an ECU update will normally wipe your remap, but most (if not all) tuners will put the map back for free. Otherwise tune with units such as the ST3 or Blufin where you can add/remove the map at home.
