EGR removal via remap

Has anyone had it done?
I’m curious about the real world benefits and getting my 1.6TDI through its MOT.
Lots of websites with lots of claims about benefits. Would like to hear from people who’ve actually had it done. Cheers.

Pretty sure it’s a mechanical blank or removal. Never heard of a electrical / remap removal

This place near me says they can disable it without needing to physically remove it...
